Good idea with the spur gear, however, I already have a load of 1/8th sized spurs. I, too try to keep the wiring down to a minimum, and switched out all the screws to titanium. One thing I just switched out was the servo. I decided to install the smaller and lighter Sanwa SRG-HR which weighs in at 22 grams, and took out the Futaba 671SVi which is 28 grams. This brought the weight down to 731.3 grams. Which is fine by me. I'd rather have a small amount of breathing room. You never know, there might be one or two LiPo's which are lighter than the others.

The Team Bomber and Yokomo pods are the same width. The IRS is a direct fit and all you'll need to do is shim it for proper width.

I will have hubs soon so you can run my offset wheels that are similar to the Yokomo's. the Yokomo pod is offset too far to the right to get the wheel base where it needs to be, so I am making a new right side hub that is 3mm shorter.

I assume I am doing this right... Since the Yokomo/Team Bomber pod is offset. To get the correct distance for each tire from center, I have been measuring the distance between the center point of the chassis to the inside wheel edge. So as it stands, the left side hub has 5 mm shims and the right has 1 mm shim. The distance between the inside wheels to the center point on vernier calipers equals out to be around 48.00+mm- on both sides. This also gives me 172 mm track width. Keep in mind, I am using -2 mm offset wheels when using these shims.

The YouTube video demonstrates how to remove any unwanted slop in your steering crank system. It's cheap, easy, and fast to do.

I'm running the C3.1 and see above people running small diameter tires. Not sure what I'm doing incorrect but I can not run rear tire less than 43.5 and achieve 3.5 to 4mm ride height. Any insight is appreciated - I have all the various ride height adj inserts. My primary track is a a little bumpy and this is why so high.

I've seen something about an optional 2.0 ride height insert? this would be perfect

I see there are other spring now available for the X Shock but am not finding an online shop to purchase them.

I haven't seen anyone do that here in Japan. From what I've heard, the modifcation on the rear wheels was a one of deal. The track conditions were low grip and the tire additive was useless. Therefore Naoto's mechanic had to take drastic measures to gain rear traction.

How many inserts do you have? I just finished a race today with my tires at 42.00 mm. Ride height was at 3.2 mm for carpet. Are you running on asphalt?

Yes, there are numerous springs available. You'll have to shop for them using a Japanese hobby shop website.

You can check out - Futaba Pro Shop, RC Champ. Just google it.

FYI you can flip the axle ride height inserts...

I'm running 1.75 down and I run on a bumpy carpet track. Would like to run 41.25 or 41.5mm rears and maintain close to 4mm ride height

The 2.00mm ride height exist but ref: YF-20H it's usually sold with the F1 parts.

Morotech making some springs for the X-Shock. So far I can't find them in a shop that ship oversea.
