Yes, a longer wheelbase will make the car easier to drive. Good for stock racing. One important thing to note. One problem I came across when using the Xenon front bulkheads on the Yokomo chassis was the ackerman setup. Right now your ackerman position is running in the negative position. See how your steering links are positioned, that's not ideal. You need to make them perpendicular to the steering bell crank or a little forward for positive ackerman. You can do this is by buying the Team Bomber front bulkheads. The bulkheads are designed with holes that are offset further back so you can achieve the proper ackerman. Or if you are handy with a dremel, you can fabricate a bell crank extension out of carbon fiber.

Good catch Edward. Is there enough material left on the chassis in front of the bellcrank to just drill another hole in front of the stock hole? If so, that would also solve the problem.

I'm away from my car right now, but if I remember right, no. In front of the hole is a balance pin hole, and there is little material between the two holes. Furthermore, there is no material to drill further forward.

Yeah that's what it looked like in the pic but I don't have a Yok so couldn't say for sure.

Default Team Bomber Setup Sheet

Does anyone have an editable Team Bomber R12 setup sheet? I can only find the completed ones on petitrc and the Team Bomber website so I assume there is an editable copy floating around. Thanks in advance.

I've emailed the owner asking for a blank version to be available to everyone.

Depends. The front end is fine but with the adjustability also means you have more things to check and also more things that can tweak. It's easier to just convert the front end to an AE/Xenon. As for the rear, you have a few choices. I have run the kit axle with Yokomo rims mounted with blues/greens but if that isn't an option you can run Jacos in the rear if you get the IRS/Associated axle and hubs. You will need to shim the non drive side ~6mm and that will max you out at 172mm. With CRC rims you will exceed legal width unless you are okay with the rear wheels not being even. Basically you need a wheel that has a 3mm or greater offset to work with IRS/AE axles. TN Racing made a conversion kit for the kit axle to run Jacos but it is only for the pre R12C kits.

TN Racing offers a nice axle conversion

Don't use the Xenon bulkheads. That is if you choose to use the bell crank setup. The geometry will be all messed up if you do. You can run the servo up front with no problems... If you want best of both worlds go for Team Bomber bulkheads.

My friend bought the Tn rear conversion kit, he wanted to not use the Yokomo offset wheel, the kit doesn't fit with 3.1, he had to build an adapter to use that.
This kit is for 3.0

The kit only works for earlier variants?

What did you buddy do to fix the issue exactly?

I know some guys here in Japan that are running IRS axles.
I'll find out what parts they are using.
