Does this car require Yokomo wheels? I am considering buying one but I have a boat load of CRC wheels.

You can get an Associated axle and shim accordingly if you want to run CRC, BSR, or Jaco wheels.

I bought the rear Asso axle (RC12R5.2) trying to fit it into my R12C.
I have to say that can work but there is need to change the carbon plate.

Cecking this post http://www.rctech.net/forum/11460858-post426.html we can see that the chassis has a different offset so when I use the Asso axle it is more width of about 4mm (2+2mm), i had to use shims for like 6mm on the left side and 0 on the right wheel
I think the Asso Axle can work but is better to have the carbon plate that is not what I/we use on the R12C..but i don't know which is

I hope this can help you, i'm sorry for my poor English.

Are the hard arm parts (upper and lower) worthwhile getting?

You need the original r12 lower pod plate (r12-04) and top brace (r12-03).

You can use the R12R5 axle. It will work.

Actually, you should consider of using yokomo wheels. they are pretty good. The only issue if you need to assemble and glue the donuts.

thank you for the spare parts codes
Actually i'm using the Mobgums for Yokomo, soon i'll try the Yokomo tyres.
For what i know also the italian brand Matrix will start to sell the wheels for the r12
We should have them at a reasonable price.
i tryed to assemble some wheel...but is not a job for me, i made a disaster with the glue

Good to know that there is will be company willing to do a pre-assemble foam/wheels for R12. Currently, I just order tyres/wheels from Japan, assemble myself every few months.

We use an IRS axle with the 3mm offset hub on it, this lets us make the 172 rear width measurement we use here in the UK.

Hey Guys,

I am shopping for a 1/12th pan car and the one that I am pretty much sold on is the yokomo R12 worlds edition. The few things that attract me to this car is the front swaybar setup and the transverse battery layout as the surface we race on is low/med grip asphalt and the extra weight in the rear would help I guess.

I would like to know how you guys rate this car?

Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers Kevin

Just take note that this car, R12C require really small electronics because of the center ballcrank setup.

You can see the pic from my blog that it is indeed a tight squeeze.
I personally ended up swapping the ESC and RX to a smaller ones, but retain my JR3650 Servo

Shouldn't be too much pressure on the diff, just make it like you would make any 1/12th diff. If it slips then the balls do not grip the diff plates, check out the link below, its the way I do it. Never had any diff problems.

Confused

apart from the price whats the difference on rc mushroom between the Yokomo R12 1/12 On-Road World Edition [item no: YOK-R12W] & Yokomo R12 1/12 Onroad Competition Kit [item no: YOK-YR-R12]?

Also, anyone know were to get the R12C rather than just a conversion kit?
