Anybody have tried to put Xray NT1 bevel and sattelite gears inside Spec-r Gear Diff???

Is this possible??

I really would like to use NT1 gear diff on my TRF416X for modified races... but I cant find pictures of the mod to TRF... I only got some images from T3 mod...

Thanks for any help...

Just a little thing....

For TRF416X I will need:

335050 Xray NT1 Rear Gear Diff x1
335072 x1 option LW (for height issues...)
53988 Tamiya 37T Ball Diff Pulley

Thats it??

I dont understand if I will need different diff cups to make it fit on TRF... if yes wich ones do I need? Part numbers??

Regards
Rafael

If I remember correctly the ball end of your swing axle on a 416 is bigger than a Xray swing axle, so it won't fit in the drive cups as it is in stock configuration. I also don't think that there is a option for a larger drive cup with the NT1 gear diff. This could be a costly conversion, jmo.

The plastic gears are holding up pretty well, and extra packs of plastic gears are less than $5 each. I think in the long run the Spec R would still be cheaper.

I think it's the other way around - ie swingshaft ballend on 416 is smaller than than T3. This means the 416 shaft will float around inside the T3 drive cup slightly. That may or may not cause issues. Otherwise, you might need the T3 uni's as well. And they aren't exactly cheap...

Thanks for the correction. It seems to me one of our guys tried that setup but didn't like the excessive free float of the mismatched parts.
