TA04 Weight Reduction
I need to reduce the weight of my car TA04 to as close to 1500g as i can. I have the racing hub set, sway bar at the front.
I have cut 2 holes in the section unber the batteries about the size of a AU$ 50 cent piece. What else can i do............
Drill more holes????
Don't want to spend any move if i can

Delrin outdrives save you 15gm on the rear diffs (original are 30gms)
Other heavy stuff to shed are to invest on the low friction steering posts which are half the weight (around 6-8 gm savings compared to the stock steering posts).
If you're running the racing body mounts on the bumper, lose the front shock tower piece for the mounts if you're using the carbon towers.
Lose the center chassis post mount.
If its allowed, tape your batteries to your chassis instead of using the mounting clips and posts (they are very heavy!)
Change all your turnbuckles to aluminium or titanium ones, also change all your ball ends to aluminium ones.
I've done quite a few other stuff but these are the main ones I recall for now.

Lightweight
here is what you do, do away with the batter post and just use tape! place holes on the spur, remove the center post but you may have flex problems, if you look in the pic I use 2 upper decks!

lightweight
you can also enlarge the holes under the motor, remove the inside of the arms(if your using graphite/hardened arms) and do away with the belt tensioner, i run mine een in Mod and it does not skip.
