Default Good Motor To Use With Mamba Max Pro ESC.

Hello i'm new to electric on road cars i've ran nitro all my life but I find electric to be more enjoyable so i'm in. I recently purchased a HB Cyclone TC and have upgraded to dcj driveshafts (that are great BTW!) and put the Mamba Max Pro 9000kv motor combo. When driving at the track a lot of other drivers have been telling me to keep the ESC and ditch the motor. Why do they believe that and what motor would be a great alternate to this motor? Thanks in advance.

I am not sure why the other racers are suggesting you change the motor. I can't imagine you needing more power with a 9000kv. Are you overpowered for the track? Does your battery have a high enough c rating?

The Mamba Max Pro is great for spec racing with a Novak motor. But you are in the big block or modified class with the 9000kv motor.

For some strange reason they all say this! I've noticed that everyone with my esc use a different motor like the tekin redline.
