I thought it would be nice to get a Losi thread going on here like what was previously on RCTouring.
Quick Q? - Steering felt a bit sloppy to me. I'm running the stock ballcups. Should i ditch those for RPM?

Well, once I added RPM ballcups to my Atlas it took some out, but the Atlas is the god of "slop". Sloppiest car i've ever seen. It works for me though. Just need to add some shims in a few places and it'll fix er up

What happened to RCTOURING???
Anyway, I have thought the steering is a bit sloppy as well. I am planning on switching to RPM and that should clear up that issue.
For the push, you might try messing with the droop settings. I was surprised at how much they affected the handling of the car.

I have a XXX, and I have about 3 degrees of slop in it's steering, the RPM ballcups didn't help. I think if you switched to BB's in the steering it may clean up the problem...

One other suggestion for XXX-S owners, take out all of the bearings and remove the shields and clean out the old grease then replace with Royal Oil or Dura-Lube. Your drive train will be as free as a well broken in TC3.
Did this to mine and she rolls clear accross a large kitchen floor with just a tap.
Has anyone picked up any graphite parts? I am curious where this stuff is avaiable for mail order.

I did that to my XXX and it means you have to constanly check it for maintanance. I spend two hours cleaning my bearings in my XXX buggy every two weeks.

If you are a serious racer, you should be checking at least that often as is.
Just gives me a better reason to tear the car down to make sure there isn't anything broke or worn.

Someone had mentioned that the bearings from a MR4TC's steering will work but I tried and they don't. Just a heads up.

I like boca, but they are a little too pricey for me

Boca is very nice. They have different levels of bearings. The cheap " Sportsman" bearings, all the way up to the Pro bearings. They also have bearing sets fore most popular cars.
Remember, you get what you pay for in most cases. That is mostly true with the bearings
