I would like to ask one major question to previous xxx-s owners, why did you change your chassis, what is better in newer cars like TC5, BD5 and so on?

I gave up before cause that droop screws on the bumper. i was racing at carpet track with touring for first time ever, I was struggling with those ever changing droops.

Now I gotr a type R for Carpet/prepped track and brought back XXX-S for unprepped asphalt track.

once you start drooping with shock rod ends, car is still on top of the game.

Default My xxx-S/4

Here is my xxx-S/4. It started out as a xxx-s but would shread a belt ever 4 races. So I swapped arms shock towers cvds on to a spare xxx-4 chassis I had. Wheel base is now adjustable from 255mm to 275mm with spacers for the rear.

One thing I did notice is that the xxx-s Black belt is the same length as the xxx-4 yellow belt. Right now I am running a slipper clutch from the xxx-4 but I can change it with the xxx-s setup if I choose too.

Only thing is I don't know how to figure out the FDR for my setup. Oh well. Heres the pixs.

Well, this thing isnt the fastest car to race anymore. It's a heavy car compared to most, unless you run roar rules I guess. It's really built like a "toy" compared to the newer chassis's out now. So much technology now in the newer cars compared to this thing. Belt skips on braking. Changing a pinoin sucks and/or spur. To get gear mesh right on you need a flashlight. But I still love racing it on asphault tracks because it's closed driveline and ease of adjustments. I still love it though. HA

but for weight reason car is good with Lipo, my car is ready at 1470grams with balance weighted on lipo side.

you explained why I hate this car, that I hate to change gears

I also only wanted to race 17.5 on my XXX-S cause that front pulley skipping

for stock class parking lot race this car can be right up there!

Yes, they use the same spindle carriers.

Amain has them and as you can see says, all X's.

Yep, this is total old skool car. BTW it's a GT7 with Trinity Monster Jr's and it still hauls. lol
All the newer stuff goes in the type R. The type R will be the 13.5 class and LRP TC spec.

Default front spool.

Just a question, can i leave the two small bearings out of the assembly when using a front spool and replace them with the plastic bushings from a RTR steering rack? Considering that it is all locked an spins as one anyway, i cant see the bearings doing anything.

Seeing this car is already a flying brick, i thought it may help reduce the rotating mass of the spool.

Any ideas???
