Anyone know where i can buy the XXX-S graphite conversion kit? seems to be hard to find. I have heard that a well tuned XXX-S G can rub shoulders with the JRXS and the high end Associated cars no worries... what do you guys think of this?

Stormer hobby has a good selection of xxx-s parts including the graphite chassis. I don't know if they have a conversion kit, but they do have a lot of the graphite parts. http://www.stormerhobbies.com/

Whats a good damper upgrade for the XXX-SG? also does anyone know of any online hobby stores still selling aluminium upgrade parts for XXX-S?

Hi,

I am going to have a go at some on road racing with my xxxs. Can I ask a few questions please?

Using a reedy 19t spec motor on a short tight carpet track what would be a good pinion size to use with an 88tooth size spur gear which it currently runs. I will be using gp3300 cells.


I am going to be using take off cs22 tyres as most do. If I was to use foams on the same type of track what would be good to use?

I would use a 19 to 22 on tight tracks and 23 or 24 on open tracks.

Default Runtime with a mamba max 7700 & 3200 li-po

Hi guys,

I've bought a Team Orion Li-po 3200 Carbon edition and just finished the prepation process (prepare slots, add wheigths, etc.).

Any idea of the runtime with a Mamba Max 7700 combo on my Losi XXX-S G+ ?

well i run a xxx-s g on a mamba 7700 and it can suck a 3300mah nimh pack dry in about 5 mins. The 7700 a fairly hungry motor.. not exactly a run time king lol.. but its not designed to be.

would be interested to know if there is a "stock" equiv brushless that can run on the mamba esc.. that should show nice run times on a lipo i would think.

Good day i received a gift from a friend that was quiting rc, it was a xxx-s kit, well i ran it for about two minutes at first everything seemed to be fine and then i heard a really bad crackling sound, i checked and it was the belt, earlier in the forums i've read about a black belt upgrade? do we purchase them from losi cause i can't find anything about it on their website, also i'm planning on running a gtb 3.5r if anyone had tried this already or has any related experience i would appreciate the heads up. One last thing i'm worried about breaking the belt again and here in the philippines we would have to order them and wait for the parts for about a month, any tips in order to strengthen and prolong the life of the belt specially now that i'll be running a 3.5r on it?

check that the car rolls free when the motor is out to see if the car has anything binding in the drive train, if not then you must have had the belt too loose or the belt rubbing on the pinion or something because have never had it happen yet and i have run the xxx-s with all motors even the 3.5 brushless.
and i have raced this car for over a year now almost every weekend.

I have 2 XXX-S one with and one without the black belt. The black belt is shorter and wider then the standard yellow. Keep the belt lubed with a non petrolum based product, maybe some thing with a silicone base, NOT WD-40. You don't have to soak the belt just enought to make sure it doesn't dry out.

Thanks everyone for the fast replies, anyway can't wait for another month for the belt so i purchased another xxx-s G+ this time, how will i know if it has the black belt upgrade already???

Also how can i identify a 64p pinion/spur gear from a 42p pinion/spur gear? i was looking at my first xxx-s manual and it says that it has 42p gears, now talking to the owner of my second xxx-s G+ according to him it's 64p? Reason i'm asking is i'm planning on getting a new pinion gear to have it ready for the 3.5r any gearing recommendations?
