the transmission will handle it no problem, you just have to tighten up the belt a little so it won't skip on acceleration.you have to be more specific on settings. Where are you racing? carpet? tarmac? rubbers? foams? smooth? bumpy? etc....

Default Which motor pinion for Mamba Max 7700 ?

Sigearhead, thanks for your quick answers.

Well, i'm back from the rc store. Actually, after a long discussion with the dealer, I bought a mamba max 7700 (ESC + motor). I trusted him for years now and hope I didn't make a big mistake.

Question : is the 14 teeth motor pinion still good (with the yellow 88 teeth spur gear) ?

My first choice was a combo nosram matrix competition esc and 3.5 storm motor. He told me : 'for fun as you do, nothing else that the mamba max". And the mamba max is cheaper than the nosram combo.

Question : what's your idea about this choice ? Will it be a (huge) difference between the 2 systems ? For the record, I don't do competiton. I regulary run with friends seriously on a (mid) large smooth parking.

Well, about the settings : I run rubber tires (nosram vtec 30R) - mid-large smooth mid-grip parking track - 30W shock oil front & rear - purple springs front & silver springs rear - 3800 factory team nosram pack.

Cheers.

maybe its just me... your final drive ratio is 4.14 thats wayyy to low. maybe your not fast enough because you have too much top end and its not winding out i run a 19t with 1 6.45 fdr and its perfect lots of speed try lowering your pinion maybe that would help
