I do not think there is a stock out of the box setup. I needed it for a staring point

"I know this probobly sounds like a stupid question but im trying to copy Paul Lemiuex's setup from the 2003 US indoor championships. He uses .090 limiters on the outside of his front shocks and .060 on the outside of the rear. What does this mean, where do you put these limiters and what do you use as limiters?

Also how would you go about lowering the rear block .060 to lower roll centre?

and finally when he says .060 does that mean inches? im from the UK so i work in metric."

Yes that is in inches

Losi makes low roll center mounts "the little blocks your hinge pins go into"

take apart your shock and the outside limiter goes on first, then the cartridge, then e-clip, shock piston e-clip. So when your done the outside limiter is between the cartridge and the shock end. Internal limiters are between the cartridge and the eclip (that holds the piston in place).

Losi makes a shock kit with spacers and such. and it comes with .030, .060 and .090.

I had the same probs, you will just have to stay off the boards and make sure that the front of your body is strong and close if not touching your body

Get the BRP add-on lower bumper for the XXX-S at $8-9. It is as wide as the front track. Saves shock shafts, arms and carriers. Adds maybe 3/4 ounce to your car.

Default please help make my RTR faster!

Hey - First off HOLY CRAP 400 pages of info on the XXXS- perfect.

I just came over from the RC Zone forum on the XXX and my eyes are too wasted from that 35 + pages to read any more tonight so ill just ask. I have a XXXS rtr and i really like it but it was way to slow, what can i do to make it faster? FYI - I never plan to race, I threw in a Reedy Quad mag - Still slow and im using NiMh 3000s. Ill break down my Q's to make it easy.

I have the Reedy Quad Mag in but im still running the stock gearing. What Pinion should i get ?

Should i cut every other cog of my belt or get the black belt ?

What other cheap or free tricks can i do to go faster? Any info is welcome. Thanks in advance. D.J.

Default Mounting ESC and Receiver

I have seen the ESC mounted both in front of or behind the Motor. Does moving the ESC closer to the receiver increase the danger of glitching.

I have also seen the receiver mounted on top of the servo.
Does that increase the danger of glitching (I have 27mhz FM)

What would you reccomend?

also
I connect my batterys to my ESC using a deans connector.
Could I just do away with the little ESC on/off switch and just power the car on by pluggin in the battery or will that produce some kind of damaging surge.

Default Using non-Losi Shocks

All the published setups use Losi Shocks, I believe.

If you use non-Losi shocks is their any rule of thumb you can use.? I would guess they all perform somewhat different.

I just was given some XRay shocks that have threaded collars, my current shocks are the stock Losi non-threaded shocks.

The Graphite kit comes with shorter shocks for one end of the car should I assume all the XXX-S Graphite setups assume you are using those shorter shocks?

also
is their a simple test for when shocks need to be rebuilt?

DJ - Define slow.. Are you getting beaten every time by your friends or what?

Also, dont re-post so quickly. Someone will see your post and reply to it usually within a page. Try to keep reposts a few pages apart, and perhaps rephrase your questions again if you dont get any replies..
