To run the Tamiya shocks, you have to use and aftermarket front shock tower. The Losi shocks are shorter in the front so you need the PRP Racing front tower with a higher row of upper shock mounts to compensate for the longer shocks. The main reason for using the TRF shocks is how easy they are to build and build consistantly.

Those are the towers you need to get if you run the Tamiya shocks. I have a set of the pre production ones and they're great. They have additional tuning options on the shock locations as well as the camber links that I've found to be very handy.

let's all post pictures of our cars and list the mods,

has anyone ever tried to mount the ball studs on the shock towers horizontally, like on the Evo 3 and TRF 415 for camber turnbuckles

I haven't been racing in a while so I'm just gonna get out of racing for a year or so. I'll still be at the track from time to time to help out and visit. I'm gonna get rid of all of my stuff and buy new stuff when the time comes.

also try take off's CS22/27/32 preglued for $35 for a set of four. if you're lazy like me the no glue factor is awsome. also the temp range for each compound is pretty wide, I've known guys who run cs27 year round when our track temp wanders from 110 to 35 between the summer and winter.

James,

This is certainly a blow to all XXX-S drivers. You have been a great mentor to us for this past year.

A break may be good for any one of the following reasons...
1) Girl friend - Brunette
2) Girl friend - Blonde
3) Girl friend - Redhead
4) Girl friend - Purple/Green/Pink dye
5) Offer from Formula One team

Badboy and I can tell you about all the things to try and/or avoid.

E-mail me about anything you want to sell. Still very interested in your milling project for the XXX-S chassis.

It's 1 or maybe 2 or actually could be any of the first 4 since she is a hairstylist. Is there anything you are looking for that I may have. The xxx-s chassis milling is about done, just gotta figure out how much to machine them for. I might be getting out of racing for a while but that doesn't mean that I won't be at the track still.

No worries, it will be up for sale anyways. You could be a pal and post it for sale if you want.
