Stormer is out of it as well. I know I could just use electrical tape, but I'm wondering if it even matters enough to bother.

Hey XXX-S Bill,
I'll assume you did that battery brace mod with a dremel? Any specific bit you used? For that matter, what bits do people use for doing their chassis lightening?
Thanks
Btw, I hate moving to a new place in 100+ degree weather. Luckily I had help.

I used the #952 and 953 bits to do the work I posted yesterday. I also used a basic sanding disc to smooth out the flat surfaces.

1) dremeled off the tab that secures a stick pack;
2) clamped the battery brace at both ends (logo down) to a block of wood;
3) using a 3/16" bit, drilled about 40 side-by-side holes in the area I wanted to remove;
4) used plastic tree snips between the holes until I could remove most of the targeted material
5) dremeled remaining material away.
6) finished things off with a fine half round/flat file.
First one took maybe 45 minutes. Got it down to about 20 min each because I have done another six or so for locals.
Did one plastic brace; but, it seemed pretty weak in comparison to the graphite units. Therefore, I don't recommend doing a plastic one.
Graphite dust is somewhat of a health hazard. Will irritate eyes; so, be careful not to rub eyes until you are completely cleaned up.
Hope this helps.
HeY!!!
Thanx Randy.. no problem about the box-o-parts.... j/w and i think i might get it then in time for some of the big races coming up in oct. when racing starts getting serious for indoors carpet. thanx for the info.

Randy, help me out dude- with my XXX-s I'm running a 90t spur with a 26t pinion on a medium technical/ high-bite track. The monster I have gets reeally hot so I'm thinking that the 6.33FDR is not optimal for this track. What's a good starting point? I have a EPIC BI-2 STOCK too that I want to try out, so what's a good starting point for that high-temp. motor?
6mths. just starting out in this hobby has a steep learning curve that's HELL to keep up on
THANKS
