You never know.

Yep, my guess would be motor/battery. Hard to get two motors the same, so its hard to judge just by changing cars.

If you can go 1 sec faster with his car then there is something seriously wrong with yours, weather it be drivetrain bind or setup, you gotta figure it out..

that's what I thought as well.. I know the suspension is free.. as far as the drive train.. I don't have a 'free drivetrain' xxx-s to compare to.. but I will be going through it starting tonight to figure out if there is something wrong and where it is...

his setup is also more aggressive than mine and that could be as well.. if I make my car softer, will it be more aggressive or ?

Just saw on the Losi site. MF2 XXX-T. Can we say Kinwald BK2 for truck?
Randy The panther was cool. I think he was called Ravage.

Back to TC....Do the low roll center blocks seem to be one of the most valuable aftermarket tuning components? Basically are most of you guys using them? I'm essentially making a list of what things should be high on the list for this cars tunability. I figure on down the road after I drive the kit box stock, I'll have to try out a spool setup and some other things. Just to see what works best. I'm just trying to get a jump on some of it if I can.

With the wheels on the car and your motor unattached, you should be able to get 3-4 secs of free spin.

If you stiffen your springs up the car will react faster and become more twitchy, also roll less. This is good for smooth tracks. For bumpy tracks run softer springs and possibly swaybars to reduce the roll.

Here is what I am running ATM:

front:
new yellow springs 56 50wt
.080 sway bar
plaid TRC 59mm

rear:
new orange springs 56 50wt
no sway bar
purple TRC 59mm

the car doesn't really rotate at all either, in fact today its pushing

you can do a bunch to make it more aggressive. lighter shock oils will let the car transition faster. stiffer front spring will make it more aggressive. so will less caster. shorter front camber link. more stood up front shock. less front droop. a ton of stuff. all depends on your setup now. go to the track one full day and mess around with each adjustment one at a time so you can get a feel for what each does.
