Kraig @ http://www.kthobbies.com/store/ got me a blackbelt kit a month ago and man is it sweet. I too have noticed a slight skip if the belt is a little loose and I haven't cut any teeth.

Ditto what Poppa said on the belt. As for the Kevlar Gear I have not noticed any louder noise but that the sound is slightly different. For those of you who used this spur and this may be your first experience with 64 pitch gears, its a little harder to get the right mesh. But when its right its right!

i hear a bit of a sqeeling sound since i've been using the kevlar gear, but that may be the motors i've tuned. I've just left it go. The black belt is awesome, i've been able to run it much looser than my cut yellow belt. I'm selling all my r/c stuff this month, so i'm not going to cut my black belt, but i never lock the brakes up, so skipping is not a concern for me. ANYBODY WANT A VERY COMPETETIVE LOSI XXX-S???? Give me a pm if you want to be ahead of everyone else in sell/trade forum.

Two belt kits arrived at my favorite lhs earlier this week and were snatched up. At least some are getting out here. Keep looking.

my lhs shop got a few in the other day, they went quick but they are shipping very slowly to fill all of the backorders.

There's a huge demand on the HD belts... Once everyone stops buying them, they'll be everywhere

I just found those 2 black belt kits on ebay. $30 + $7 shipping. Seems a little extreme to me.

i talked to a horizon representative and they told me that they had to fill 250 backorders on the first week they were released and they only sent out 25 or so belts on the first shipment for backorders.

supply and demand, people are gonna pay that price because you can hardly find them anywhere. thats not too bad, reg price is 19.99 plus tax. the guy is maybe making 5 bucks.
