There is such a wide variety of gears out there it would hard to measure them all. If I would guess I would have to say no more than .2 grams. Then again, I haven't guessed the correct lottery numbers yet.

Last time I was racing in Brisbane, I noticed people referring to the losi as 'a brick'. I've spoken to a few people who consider the xxx-s to be one of the heavier cars... but, I saw the pic of the losi a couple of days ago who put all the weight in hiis chassis to get it up to weight. Are there any secrets to weight reduction. I think I still need to lose maybe 50 grams!! So, if anyone has any tips for this, pleeeeaaaaaaaase help me.

cheers

They are personal transponders. Instead of using the track supplied transponders to count laps, these always stay in your car and can be used at any track that has a system that supports them (which is pretty much any track worth a crap nowadays)....

The good thing is you never have to remember to take it out of your car....and if the computer is setup, they can track practice laps for you.

shev- being called a brick is probably a bit harsh

i have actually had to add 45 grams to mine when i'm running on foams.. and that brings it to about 1505 grams with small diameter tyres.

i havent dont any milling, nor really anyhting else in the way of weight reduction.

i'm running ko radio gear and lrp quantum esc.

is your car a graphite plus or an older plain xxxs?

Yeah I don't know about being a brick either, however some other cars are underweight as standard and guys can add weight where they wish.

Mine is about 1538gms without transponder. I have taken some excess wire and other excess material off but still think I'll be about 15-20gms over. I'm running rubbers and foams are probably lighter...

Trying to think of how to get it down without milling or replacing stuff now...

It's a graphite + with Ko radio gear and ko 2000j speedy. I decided to go with good gear, but I just can't get the weight down in my car. I'm running foams, and I've shortened all the wires.... The only thing I have that would be weighing the car down more I guess are the 3300 cells. Obviously they are slightly heavier, but, you guys usually seem to be significantly underweight. Tell me the inside shields of your bearing weigh about 50 grams, and i'll take them off..... kidding.

Also, where do you get all the red/blue parts from? Kthobbies?
or, are they all associated/jett parts?

Thanks again, all this information is so helpful.
