The new belt system is superior to a older setup, even with every other tooth cut on it. While the belt is better, its really the increased spacing off the gears that frees up the drivetrain....removing that kink made all the difference in the world. I guess todd says to cut the teeth for mod and stock if you want. I think I will wait till they are more readily available before I do that.

Do any of you have any thoughts on the speedtech shock towers for the xxx-s? Is there any other options for a front shock tower with the optional holes pre-drilled?

I really like them. If you want to use the additional mounts without drilling your own they're great. I also got a set off a guy on Ebay. They're black CF and they have a ton of camber and shock mount locations. They're also thiker and beefier than the speed tech ones. I'm not too sure who the manufatrer is but I've see a few people with them. Either way they work great and look great too.

Yeah, those are them. I found them on Ebay. They were only $12 for the pair. If you look up XXXS Tower on Ebay search you should find them if he still has some.

Man, my xxx-s was alot faster with the new belt in it sunday. The guy that I got mine from at the Snowbirds said not to cut the teeth off of this belt, he said that it will fall apart if I do.

Just an FYI

I keep reading on here about everyone cutting every other tooth off of the belt, and one of the guys at our club did that and said he couldn't tell any difference between the two. I was wondering if anyone has cut every other tooth off of the diff pully instead? I did this with my car and it really frees up the drivetrain. I got this idea from a guy at our club did this with his X-Ray and it is almost as free as any shaft car I've seen, and he hasn't had any problems with skipping or anything with a 7 turn motor.

I'm also wondering if anyone has experimented with narrowing the belt like used to be done with the street weapon to free it up?

thats might be hard to cut the plastic teeth, but it might help. I cut every other teeth on my belt, and i notice instant speed, espically in the tight parts of the track, because with a freer train, i can roll better. I run a easy .5 faster with it on, but then again i am a better driver than last season.

Altering the belt by modifying/removing teeth has been more effective than any other trick...sanding, narrowing, etc.

Default XXX-S G+ roll center mounts

Anyone,

Does the XXX-S G+ come with the low roll center mounts or do they still need to be purchased separately?
