I don't think that anyone has actually counted the teeth on the belt. Are you looking to switch one for the other?

Let's see I have...

1 standard diff w/steel outdrives
1 standard diff w/composite outdrives
1 OD/UD diff w/ composite outdrives
1 OD/UD spool w/ composite outdrives

All I need is 1 more outdrive and I will have another spare diff.....LOL

Not to mention the 4 diffs that reside in my 2 G+'s.... I think I may be ready

Default wire help

about to change the wire on my esc for the xxxG+, what would be better a longer (+) wire or (-)wire going to the bats, cause obviously one will be longer? Want to do it right for my Losi.

what do u guys usually do?

Thanks!

Al75 FYI. The Off Road belt has more teeth but only because the wheelbase is longer on the XXX-4 compaired to the XXX-S. If you are planning to run the offroad belt on the XXX-S, don't do it!

The extra length will give you problems when you go to use the belt tensioner. You won't be able to tighten the belt enough to keep it from slipping too much and scraping the tunnel, as well as itself, because of the extra length. That is not something you can just "dial out".

My batts are set with the + to the rear and I run that wire thru the cover while the - wire is over the tunnel so that both can be short as possible, still looks clean..... but that's me.......

I don't think it really matters which wire is the longer one....

Wire length will only affect overall resistance, nothing else. I heard guys WAY back in the day(91!) saying things about how different length wire will affect "electrical timing" . Won't happen. Electron flow is negative to positive, so length of wire makes no difference.

Kevin...I have run my belt like this for two weekends now and it really helps. It takes about 20 minutes or so to do but its worth it. I just used some lexan sicsors to cut every other tooth off the belt.

My shorter wire is + so i build my batts with the positive in the rear, just a personal choice, i like the positive nearer to the esc.

about the teeth, do you have to cut them flush with the flat part, or do they not have to be exact. Is there an advantage, and how big of one, i'm stocking up on backups this week, and i need to know if i should get a new belt too.
