If you don't use droop screws you just control the amount of droop using the length of the shocks, so you just gotta make sure they're the same left an' right!
I don't know anyone who does use the droop screws as it goes!

Pro3Racer, you should't be using the droop screws to limit ride height. This can actually put excessive preload on the springs. Come up to Trackside and look at Brian Lutz's car tomorrow night. He's got the setup on his car. I still use the screws, but I am working something....

Hi
You can also use the Losi shock matching tool to check that old springs are still same length and tension (and you can match shock lengths). I find it a really good tool when building shocks and comparing them, much better than pushing them together!!!
Just my thoughts!

hahaha , yeah, urs and my mistakes could make a thread by itself, haha. I'll rebuild them, good thing i just bought a new bottle of oil. Hey, i have pro3 shocks that are threaded, could they work on a xxx-s, yeah purple would e ugly, but whos cares, it means more if your fast.

either im going to run my foams at a larger diameter or slightly unscrew the shock shafts somewhat so i can get ride hieght and droop back since adding the spacer takes all droop out
what are good droop numbers for stiff carpet setup using the losi gauge i would guess now mine reads 5 or 6 front and rear

I cut the piece of plastic on the bumper where the droop screws go, this allows the shock shaft to be used for droop adjustment without the bumper stopping the wishbone.
You should only set ride height using the collars on the spring, putting more pressure on the spring will give ya more ride height, your ride height shouldn't affect droop............

i took my shocks apart, and are all the shock shaft lengths supposed to be the same, at the front mine are 40 mm, to like 43 mm, in that range. I'm gonna cut that bumper apart, you just cut the little area with the droop, and leave that other screw hole aight.
