Fred from Tamiya was trying to get another race together by the end of the year. He has even tossed the idea around of calling it the Tamiya 500. And you wouldnt have to have run a Tamiya car.... woohooo. But it hasnt been decided yet.

We used 4 motors. 9turn for qual. During the race we pulled a wind, had a seized bearing in another and finished the race with a third backup.

A really cool event. I'd go back and do it again.

Did you use 36 different pack or 15 and just change them up over and over?

different packs were used. we were ready to use up to 45 packs if needed. all the packs were charged prior to the race and bumped-up just prior to pitting.

STLNLST: it will be a team so we all bring one motor each and have you tune them. Then we should have like 30 to 40 pack each. So we be set.

Well everybody else is getting their one-ways, I crossed my fingers that mine would come in today too, but no such luck. I am dying for that thing, for the past year and a half I drove a one-way car exclusively and I swear my lap times are way down simply because I'm having trouble adapting to full time 4WD.

Coasting through the corners ain't what it used to be...

After two months of racing I finally broke my first part on the car today -- the left-front body post! Used some electrical tape to hold it in place and I was back on the track in no time. Gotta love this car...

To Ron or anybody else "in the know" --

Are there part numbers or other info yet on the molded 64P spur gears for the XXX-S?

A friend of mine has the Trinity adapter and is not too satisfied with it (not to mention the cost). I'd like to wait for the molded gears, and since my local shop does not normally stock many Losi parts (long story) I'd like to get some on order.

Thanks!

Some of the guys went to Bakersfield for the off-road race. For a quicker response leave a post for Hodge on TTT.

futureal - I asked this question recently on TT and that answer from Todd was that he didn't have part numbers just yet for the 64P spurs, and they were expected to be available in Nov.

Harsh, STLNLST, Taz - 4 drivers, 10 packs each, $100 each for car, tires, motors (now we don't want to use up our personal rides do we), and the rest of the gear we can all supply.

MDawson - even if these guys aren't interested/serious, I know I can get at least a couple more NORCAL drivers to form a team... how does one get invited/sign up for these events?
