This is STLNLST- I think that the kit oil is 40wt and that's what I running on carpet right now with rubber tire's with a 19 turn. I do have a front sway bar installed but I'm also soft with the springs as well. I have blue in the front and pink in the rear. The car is planted. I won 19 turn last week the first time out with this new set up.

The stock oil in my G+ was 30wt. I moved to 50, changed the springs, anda few other suspension tweaks (roll center, camber link placement) and I like it a lot more now. I'll be experimenting with sway bars a bit later this week. I run silver fronts and pink rears with CS-22s. I'm thinking 0.050 on the back wouldn't be too bad...

Default non-offset carriers with black ball studs?

I wanted to try the black ball carriers on the rear of my G+, which I'm currently running with the G+ arms and the old style (non-offset) rear hub carriers.

Unfortunately, with the stud in the B position of the carrier the ball cups drag on the inside of the rear rims. Not a good thing in my book. I've shaved as much as I dare off of the cups, but they still contact the inside of my Yokomo dish rims. I hope this is merely a case of me putting something in backwards or equally dumb behavior.

Help?

Took my Losi out last night and raced again, finally getting the car to work for me. I had more cornerspeed than I've ever had in the past, it was very nice

BTW, I've never played with ackerman before, what effect will it have on the handling if I go from the rear position to the front?

If I'm not mistaken, it'll give you more turn in. Correct me if I'm worng guys. I have yet to play with it too. I know it will increase your ackerman.

I just started running a 1-way. I can't belive the cornerspeed. I just need to get used to not having brakes. I keep over shooting corners that I normally wouldn't. And the transitioning back and forth takes a little getting used to but I like it. Now I know what I was missing.

When I was not at my pit area, Randman snuck over and stole my cornerspeed. What's up with that?

Randman - I recently switched to the front ackerman (in addition to flipping the bellcranks, and moving the draglink ball stud from the laft side of the draglink to the center, and moving the front arms forward using three .060 spacers and the rear arms back using 1 .060 spacer.) After this mod, the car was less twitchy... had less aggression early and mid-corner, but more onpower steering.

Unfortunately, it's hard to isolate WHICH combination of the above mentioned mods made the changes in the feel of the car, but I thought I'd mention my results to you anyway.

I told you to put a lid on that stuff or I'd be after it... you have nobody to blame but yourself
