I asked Steve Weiss what the gear cover was for as well when I saw it on his car, and just like he said, it's the only way to keep the wires in check...

Youch! I just checked the rear diff on my car, and, um, the middle of the pulley has fallen out. Could be part of the problem methinks.

Time to order some new bits!

Default rear toe in

I have a question ?

to achieve 2 d of rear toe in on the rear you have to put the 0 deg if I put 1/2 d in the right sens I will have 2½ and if I put 1 on the right side I will achieve 3 ???? and if I put ½ but left on the right and vice versa I will achieve 1½?? and same thing whit 1 d left on right I will have 1 ? and when we say I have 2 d of rear toe in does it mean per weel or both exemple on the setup sheet !

thank

You are right in your logic there....and when its on the setup sheet its per wheel not a TOTAL of both sides.

Once you replace your broken parts if you have the same type of problems try re-setting your speedo. I hope that the rear diff is your only problem.

Default foam carpet

Does anyone have a good set up to share on twisty foam carpet track? What should I think about when I go from a good asphalt rubber set up to a foam carpet setup?

You will have to go stiffer on your shocks and oil when going to foam tire's.

um, it's easy to eliminate the gear cover... you are drilling holes in your chassis aren't you?

I was more thinking about roll center, shock position and so on... The springs and the oil is common on all cars when going from asphalt to carpet
