Painy: i know you said mid-corner but do you push when you are on or off power? how is the car coming into the corner as you are decelerating?

would you want to make the car looser..so as it didnt bog down as much or would you want more traction..

PS.. this is in Stock racing. on a high speed flowing track. with high traction,
Put more weight in the front so it would dive into and midway out of the corner.

Painy...

... lower roll center in front, or maybe arm spacing, will add a little to your mid corner steering...

... maybe you should try letting off a little sooner, so that you can throtlle sooner, thus giving you better corner speed.

Default reducing weight

Does anyone know anypart numbers for Titanium turnbuckles, and any good ways to reduce weight from a regular xxx-s with graphite conversion kit.

Only way I know is to start milling the chassis in the right spots, that is to get rid of weight on a stock XX-S graphite chassis.

question: on a flowing track, if your car has an off power understeer, would you add steering to the front or add rear rotation on the back? thanks...

I think I'd try adding steering and grip to the front. Is it going into the corner or mid corner? Going in I'd try moving the front arms back or laying the shocks down one hole.

camber links affects a lot... use longer camber link at the front, and/or less rear toe-in, or minimize the front toe-out, these will help the mid corner. If you mount the shock down, the spring will act lighter, you may need to get a heavier spring. But this will be better then actually lighter the weight of the spring.

highwayman: i would go with adding steering rather than free up the rear. if its off-power/mid-corner steering you need, i'd go with what jkerr said and go one hole in with the shocks on the front tower. if its turning in thats a problem, i'd move the front arms back a notch.

looks like we had the same problem during the last race. i just decided to be a bit concervative and not dial in more steering coz i was afraid the track conditions would change suddenly (as i know it does in the evening). looking back though, i should have put a tad more. i was a too slow in the corners. in the last main i had to work extra hard to keep dale behind me in the first half of the run and maintain the lead. but since he was so fast in the corners, its was inevitable he'd pass me - so he did. then next was ralph behind me and we were fighting for 2nd. he passed me but fortunately i was able to gain the place back. but it was really hard coz i lacked the speed in the corners. but it was great dicing with both of them. NEXT TIME!!! .... hehehe

ROBO:

actually, i had so much steering last saturday, that i had to de-tune the car last night, now, it seems it understeers too much... (last sat i had 0 deg caster, now i'm back to 4)

... BTW, i'm running diffs now, broke my 1 way last sat.

AUDI:

i was suppose to try it out last night (camber link positions), but it was getting pretty late, so we had to go home. i'll experiment with the camber link next practice.

.... B T W ... its mid corner to exit steering, entry is ok.
