I thought Losi used cheaper plastics on the RTR packages or something along those lines. I was not sure if they skimped on certain areas of the package to keep the cost down. If it is the same as the basic kit, I will be very happy Either way, I suppose it should handle the same

That was on the xxxnt but not on the xxxs,it's the same as the kit.As far as hop ups I would wait. All you need is tires and a few 3300's and you will be set.

i am going to start off with a couple matched packs of gp3300 cells and see how those work out for me. i might pick up a 1500 sport pack as well, for when i want to drive around inside the house...

from what i can tell, the xxx-s sport does not come with the wheel adapters included in the regular kit. what kind of wheels will bolt on to the losi hex adapters on the xxx-s? anything i can order from tower, or do i need to buy losi rims OR hub adapters to use "standard" wheels? is mounting 26mm tires on 24mm wheels an issue?

basically, what are the cheapest well made set of wheels that i can mount x-patterns on the xxx-s? to get the $8 4 pack of losi wheels, i need to place an order through horizon and then get junked $7 on shipping

thanks for the help on everything so far

You can rder the Losi or Associated wheel hexes for use with the XXX-S...the Associated stuff will give you a 2mm wider car... either way they will cost you less than $4.....
I would asume the 12mm (standard) hexes are included in the RTR package... The wheels also may not come pre-glued in which case you can just remove the tires/inserts and put on your X-patterns..... BTW: the losi 8 packs of wheels should be the new standard hex wheels.....

Ah, I did not realize I could use TC3 wheel hexes on the Losi. This all makes sense to me now. I am going to order up some AE wheel hexes, the RPM rims I want, and the X-Patterns. Regardless of what the Sport does or does not come with, I can always use the spares later

Do I want belted tires or regular tires?

Yes I'm wanting to,but I need to send my entry form in..like a.s.a.p.. ,I need to race at least one club race also.I'm back running my Losi,I keep selling them and buying xxxs again.. I think in the last 6mo. I've had 10 of them,But as of right now I think I like my xxxs the most,I.m.h.o the xxxs has the least problems,is the easiest to set up,and if you can not get the xxxs to work i dont think your going to get anyother TC's to work..

that's true. The Losi is very easy to work on and is very stable. If you can't get a Losi dialed in you're going to be hurting if you switch to a TC3 or any other car. Losi is still the car to beat at speedworld. The only person that can put down lap times with another car is Llyod. He's the AE factory driver that I came to your home track with. Mo is getting there with his Yok. See you when you come up.
