as mentioned earlier to ttr, you may want to consider what i mentioned to him. with regards to my set up at your track, i was much softer in terms of spring settings. i was using silver all around, 40wt oil, 56 pistons. i would have gone up to blues all around if only i dint forget to bring them with me (yet another blooper). if you aren't using a sway bar, you may want to try moving one hole in on the front shock tower. this will make the front of the car roll more in the middle of the corner. it may compromise transitioning a bit but it might help solve your problem. you may also want to go up one spring rate in the rear - if you're using the stock silvers, go up to blue.... but change only one thing at a time. hope this helps.

Default XXX-4 chassis for XXX-S

Hi,

Can I use XXX-4 chassis for XXX-S ?

I like the graphite chassis without much milling.

The XXX-4 chassis is about 1/2" longer, so only if you want a really long touring car.

Other than the probelm of belt tension (too much) i s'pose it could be a sneaky tuning trick for really big tracks

The XXX-4 Belt would fix that.

Would it? I thought that the spur gear (slipper) pulley was a different size on the XXX-4 but it might be within the range of belt tension adjustment, and you've got to use a stiff green belt.

glide1: let me know how what you end up with and if the suggestions i had worked. another thing you may wan to try is using the low roll center blocks (which are actually mid roll). i am assuming you may have followed the instructions to use the hi roll one's instead. but if your on the low roll already, moving one hole in in the front tower could work. oh, just to clear things, are you using a sway bar up front? ... oh, i finally i ran my new g+ over at the carpet track here in rockwell. the car was hooked. my new set up seemed to give a bit more corner speed without my rear coming loose. the car felt more consistent too. will be trying out the otional ackerman setting as well to see how they affect handling. will let you know how that works out. will have to get a set of extra pivot blocks for the front to do some milling with the dremel.

With the xxx4 chassis it makes the car handle bad in the tight stuff even on the big tracks, plus their is that weight thing..as in way to much,Glide 1 have you tried a one way yet ? For me it really made the xxxs work alot better in the corners even on a small track, but my first car was a Yokomo so I'm use to driving a TC with a one way.

Default Swaybar sets

My LHS has no front swaybar set on stock, but they have a lot of rear sets. By the pictures they look very similar. Can I build a rear set (with some tricks?) on the front of the car???
