KingZJ,

Are you refering to this setup from the Losi sight? Because that's with rubber tires.

http://www.teamlosi.com/pdfs/setups/...carpetnats.pdf

Thanks.

Jared, we just ran on a track about that size in Lincoln,NE this weekend and ran the following changes.
#1 TRC TT1254 Purple front only tires.
#2 .030 spindle ball stud washers
#3 .060 sway bar
#4 camber link position above/between 2 and 3 on a PRP shock tower
#5 rear arms all the way back
#6 55wt oil front and rear
#7 ran A-1 on the rear camber link
#8 chrome ball stud in the rear
#9 1/2 out on rear toe
#10 5 on the rear droop
Keep in mind this is for stock so I would not take the rear toe out. We ran the TRC double purples on the front for most of the day but could not get enough mid corner/exit steering. The plaids pushed more too. I really like the front camber link in the upper middle postion on the PRP tower. It makes the car more aggressive steering. The A-1 position helped the car rotate quicker without loosing much grip. I bet if you remove some rear droop that would help you rotate quicker too.
Let me know what you find because we are going to a race in a couple weeks and the track is 96x32.

Doug

Anyone know the part number for the new front bumper?

Also, what's the benefit of titanium hinge pins? My stock ones have yet to bend so I was just wondering.

Another question... When I push down on my car in the middle of the chassis, it never comes back to the previous ride-height... This is making it difficult for me to adjust the ride-height of my car. Does anyone know what's wrong? I have plenty of preload in the springs.

Also... Is there a site online that explains to a beginner what adjustments do what and what camber is compared to squat, to toe-in to kick-up? I'm getting confused.

Thanks,
Jits

Wow, does this car go together easy. I was wondering though, is there any tricks to freeing up the drivetrain? If I could get it to spin half as free as my TC3 I'd be pretty happy.

Hi David, are you in Tulsa or OK City or somewhere else in OK? I wish I could answer your questions but I'm still a newbie myself.

KO Racer-Check out the latest setups on the Team Losi website. Actually my latest Socal setup is killer on asphalt. Alot of people have been trying it and liking it....including Kinwald.

David Alford-The biggest thing on make the tranny free is to take apart the bearings and spray all the grease out of them. Re-oil them with Trinity Royal Oil or mobil one. Then put the shields back in so dirt does not get into the bearings. Also another thing is to run the belt tension on the loose side. Acutally, my belt leaves a mark on my belt cover where it is rubbing slightly.

jitsuguy-Hinge Pins- I run steel in my car just for durability. If I want my car to loose some weight is when I run the ti-hinge pins.
Ride Height-you might want to check and make sure your arms are not bound up. That might be the problem causing the car not to recenter in its suspension travel.

Jits, I believe that the part number is the same. It was an ongoing change. They are much stronger!

David, Thought you gave up belts! Welcome to the land of the Losi! Glad to see you are going to start racing again.

Hey Doug, hows racing been? You going to Enid on the 15th? I might have to bum a setup off you. I've been looking for a car to play with this winter, and after borrowing billys old losi and listening to all the "a belt car can never win on this track" stuff I decided to prove some people wrong.

i race on a small track 80 x 50. Running foams i tried the spool and it had great onpower steering. But coming into a corner and in the center it wouldn't turn at all. Put the diff in, all problems went away.

I am sure a belt can win at Comp but it will take some time to refine a setup and you better have your "A" game going!
