what advantages do you gain from having a front oneway in your XXXS? I run a 19 turn pro spec class. Will this increase my chances of traction roll?

Also, I am using the 2 degree kickup pivot mount and that has cut down a WHOLE LOT on the flipping issue I was having, should I use 2 degree caster / carriers to take out a little more of the steering or should I just use the 4 degree kickup pivot mount?

Finally, I noticed decent sized chunks being taken out of my foam tires on the sides of them. what can I do to cut down on this ? ( i know, don't hit the boards and I have really cut down on that alot, barely do it at all now I was thinking of trueing my tires down some, will that help?

Unhappy

One more thing, I noticed a lot of you guys are standing our recievers up with the crystal the farthest away from the chassis, what is this doing? I run a stock JR Reciever that came with my Python Radio.

I ran into a weird glitching issue at the track last time, I ran fine all practice time but when it came time to race and I put the transponder in I would glitch right under the counter and immediately after it. Got so bad in the A-main I took my car off. Other guys with JR radios experienced it too. Any ideas? Will mounting my Receiver standing up help?

i havent raced on carpet in a while but what i did to stop chunking was, true them down a bit when new and with a tire truer bevel the outside edge. someone at the track most probably has a truer and would do it for you.

FOAMS - when you buy a set of foams, take shoe goo and coat the outside of the tire (sidewall).

Traction rolling - use heavier shock oil, take and put your 0 deg block back in and got to 4 deg. castor blocks.

We got more titanium screw kits for the XXX-S in stock, and also the titanium ball end kits are available now for the XXX-S as well.

For all of you who would like to decrease the weight of your XXXS' this realy is worth the investment! An over 20 gramms weight saving, which is a lot looking at the total weight.

Be aware that you will need to use a 2mm wrench (so no 1/16).

By the way I am no Titanium Tech shareholder, just an enthausiast!

Does anyone here have any hop ups whatsoever for the XXX-S. I am in desperate need of them for racing this summer. I dont care if they are nuts, bolts, bumpers, or chassis's. I NEED THEM.

I will look about going to 4 degree blocks. I just have to see if my local hobby shop will carrry them as a regular part. Thanks for the advice.

Evil_S10, I have the following that I'm willing to part with:

1ea New in package Bud's wide xxx-s bumper
1ea TMF red 64P spur gear adapter, with Trinity 120T gear
1ea TMF 2R red rear pivot mount
1ea TMF 2F red rear pivot mount
1ea Dynamite clip on red motor heatsink

I'm not necessarily looking for top dollar, but in the same token I'm not going to give them away either. Post an e-mail and I'll send you pics if you're interested.

Just used the front one way today> Really liked and disliked it. Took me some time to get used to it. But I noticed that it made the steering response a little quicker. Still testing

I didn't have in any problem with traction rolling.

I ran stock tonight and the car was dialed. I took the TQ and the win in a field full of Schumacher's. The second place car was also a Losi. I also tested with some Pit tire's in the heat and with great results. I will post more when I can sit longer in front of this computer screen.

ASM- I will give you that set up after I've had some sleep.

Default Ackerman angle ?

Hi,

Thanks for all the advise on One-way. I do find that one-way seems to increase cornering speed.

Now, does anyone think that maybe XXX-S has too much Ackerman angle ? I felt that the strange sound that people experience during cornering is due to too much ackerman.

Any good idea of reducing it ?
