Default Lunsford set

I got the Lunsford titanium turnbuckle and hinge pin set. The set has 4 long and 2 short turnbuckles. It seems to mee that the turnbuckles for the rear are a bit too long, I can not set the A3 position. Is this normal with the Lunsford set or mine is bad?

i had the same issue when i was trying to set the link to the same position. the turnbuckle itself is too long, you'll have to get a shorter length

The long rear is for using the most inner hole on the shock tower. The short one is now too short. But, you need that for any of the other 3 holes.

I am having the same problem with my lunsfords. I would like to get a short size to use in rear for hole A on the hub. What is the size?

Man oh man has this thread been dead lately. Everyone else switch to other cars or something? Maybe it's off-road season....... Seems like the regulars (STNLST,MDAWSON etc...) have not had much to say as of late.

Schuie

Actually you guys seem to have things well handled. Been busy going back to basics and learning to drive all over again. Sometimes you have to drop all of the the bench racing and spend some time turning laps.

We have some major races over the next several weeks and it is time to get back to basics and get fast.

I'm still here. I've just been a little busy. Been working on the real car (71 Monte Carlo) I've also been testing a bunch with the diffs for the Reedy race. This coming weekend is the last weekend for testing for me. Scott T. of STRC has been helping out a bunch. I just haven't gotten the car to feel as good as it did with a oneway in it. The other Losi guys at the track are doing well but maybe it's my driving stlye. I will be more vocal on the threads once the Reedy Race is over.

racerfreedxxxs - Shoot me an e-mail at mikeandcindyk@columbus.rr.com. I'll give you some set ups to try. They come straight from Rob L. and Junior so you know they can't be bad

STNLST- Having troubles running the car with diffs huh? That's a bummer. What are you looking for specifically? Have you tried other cars with dual diffs to see if you experience the same thing (pointing to driving style) or is it just a Losi thing? Not to sound stupid, but have you guys ever tried using foams? TONS of steering anytime you need it.

Shuie Driver- I haven't run another car with diffs to see if it's just me. It wouldn't help me to run foams since they won't be used at this race. Right now i just have too much traction. The car is pushing in the corners off power. It seems that I need to get it almost to the point of it being twitchy. Normally I'd just call Matt but since he's at the worlds in Africa that may be one hell of a roaming charge if I call his cell phone Scott and I are on the right track so I'm pretty sure that we will get it licked this weekend. Last weeks change for the main ran the same if not faster lap times as the oneway cars.
