Guys, have you tried the XXX-S coversion kit ?? It's so cool !!
The chasis only weighs 80 gr less than the stock....with the full conversion kit on board, it could reach 100 gr less.
Now, my XXX-s weighs at 1550 gr (including transponder and everything, in a race ready form)...

RR Parking lot setup
I have tried the Ron Rosetti parking lot standard setup on our tight track. Need a bit more steering out of turns. What to change?
#2631
try a one way or a rear sway bar. You might even try to make the fornt camber link smaller in the front, this will make it more aggresive though it will also change the whole feel of the car.

Foams on asphalt
anyone have any good setups for ashpalt with foams? I have read the previous posts, and was just wondering if anybody has stumbled on something new this spring.
Tripps, what setup will you run at RC Madness? (modified).

I only ran once so far at Madness on foams, and it started drizzling right before our heat so I couldn't say if the setup worked or not, but here's what I ran:
Shocks:
Front: green (17.5) spring, 56 piston, 6owt oil, 2 hole on tower
Rear: blue (14.6) spring, 55 piston, 60wt oil, 2 hole on tower, outer hole on arm
Camber:
front: 2 hole on tower, -1 degree
rear: 2 hole on tower, outer hole on hub carrier, -1 degree
Ride height:
front: 5
rear: 5-5.5
Tires:
Front: TRC plaid
Rear: TRC purple
(these are what I had on hand, I'd also want to try purple front with pink rears)
Droop:
I just ran the droop screws in until there was no slack in the spring, didn't measure the droop on a gauge.

XXXS changes
I made some changes to my car last week that worked out very well so I thought I would share. First thing I did was to try the low roll center blocks on the rear of the car. Second, I installed the Trinity spur gear adapter with 64pitch gears. The rest of the setup was Paul's asphalt setup.
The car was dialed!! I was able the push the car as hard as I wanted and it just wouldn't get loose. The car also felt like it had a lot more punch out of the corners. I would have to say the punch is a result of the change from 48p to 64p gears. By the way, I race outdoor on a prepared parking lot track with rubber tires.

first off... i would soften the car up to blue springs, then on the front i would take either 2 deg of kickout or 2 deg of caster for a total of 4...also, you might trya oneway....

Rodney,
I agree with MrLosi on the front kickup/caster issue, if it were my car I'd go to 0F on the kickup and stay with the 4 degree caster carrier.
Another thing to look out for is the chassis bottoming out in front. I've been having a VERY hard time getting my car to steer this season, but I've been running the same ride height I had on the carpet, but with much softer springs, and I didn't even think about the bottoming issue until I was looking the car over after the last race night and noticed some gouge marks on the bottom of the front bumper. They couldn't have come from carpet, so I can only conclude that the front was bottoming on the turn in and making the car feel very lazy in the turns.
I've just upped the ride height to 6 in back and 5.5 in front, I'm hoping the car will steer this weekend...

I have built last weekend the RR parking lot setup, you know the one with the 41T pulley in the rear. It's working, feels like my old pro 2 felt with the adjustable one-way set at half tight. Anyway I know that using two different sized diffs in the front and the rear in an electric car seems to be crazy, but it's working like in 1:8 scale nitro cars the different front/rear tire diameters work. They always try to tune the car with over/underdrive. If the RR setup feels a bit lazy, you can try to harden the springs a bit (not too much), and you can try the front shock upper end to the outermost position. I have not had the Losi soft springs at hand, so I used the very old Tamiya red and yellow "TA02 sport tuned" springs.
