I haven't been able to find any information on the PIT tires on the web today. I guess they don't want me to buy their tires?

I'm going to start with the Sorex's and go from there I guess. Thanks guys for the help.

-------------

Has anyone been playing around much with shock position changes. I would think for carpet racing you would want to stand the shock more upright (move the top of the shock out on the tower). Shouldn't this give more reposiveness and keep the car flatter through the corners and give more onpower steering. I was just thinking about this last night but have yet to try it.

Last time at the track for practice my times where very good. Actually on pace and the car was easy to drive. However I felt I might have been loosing some .10s comming off the turn due to a slight push when accelerating.

My setup is totally stock except with Trinity Congo Purple in Front and Trinity Congo Blue in the rear. I have yet to get to race the XXXS since most touring racing is dead right now during the summer and the track is a hour and half away.

Also are the sway bars out yet? If so anyone got the part number?

There has been some distribution issues with Pit Shimizu tire recently.

They are imported by GTP California, and last I heard they have gotten their issues sorted out.

I raced at Superior Hobbies in Orlando today...and they had at least 40-50 pair hanging on the wall.....

Their number is (407) 834-9299, or www.superiorhobbies.com

Later....

So Pits are back, eh?

That would be nice, since our local shop here seems to be having issues in trying to find more of the Sorex parking-lot compounds (36, 32). I have a set or two, but I don't think I have enough to get me through the remainder of the outdoor season... at least 2 or 3 more outdoor dates... I need to find a new source! heh

mr. losi, doesn't Paul run 24-24 at Trackside? That's what the set up sheet on the Team Losi website says. Or do you know different?

I was just gonna go 24-24 on Tuesday and see if his setup works...

This is one of the XXX-S shocks?

Can you tell where it is leaking from, like the cartridge at the bottom or from the upper cap? If it's the bottom, it's possible that an O-ring was torn while the shaft was inserted. I would try taking the O-rings out and checking them, or checking the plastic of the cartidge for possible problems.

If it's the first time you put this particular shock together, it's actually easy for the shaft to rip the O-rings unless you put some drops of oil on the shaft and in the cartridge beforehand. No big deal if you ripped one though since O-rings aren't too expensive...

See you should have followed directions and that wouldn't have happened....
I thought you said in your post you have built lots of them, maybe you just got a bad "o" ring, try another one, and this time use more lube on it..

Mine leaked too.... These you really have to crank down on. All the other shocks i've built don't need to be "Incredible Hulk" tight.... but these just about have to be.

I used mr. losi's RPM Losi shock tool to tighten it. It hasn't leaked since.
