Randy....
Aside from battery and motor problems. Will the 12th scale weight limit be correct at 800grams and not 860grams which is the 6 cell weight from 6 years ago. I don't really want to put 2+ oz of lead on my car and then worry about it falling off.

Update
I leave the UK in 11 days for Florida I have had to guess on shells and have been lucky with the shells I have painted.
Cells I contacted Pro Match and was informed the quality was poor so I went with GPs as well as 3600 are not legal to use in the UK.
and yet still no details of a shedule this was promised a while ago, there are drivers traveling from all around the World and drivers traveling the legnth of the USA,I think it is time we new when registration was when practice is.
I am fortunate that I am in Florida from 17th Oct till 30th Oct but some have flights to arrange home , so let us have the shedule so we can get the final things planned.
3600 my opinion let them be used under the following Sanyo supply all the drivers with cells of equal perfomance for the duration of the meeting.
AND WE KNOW THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN.

Well I leave for the Worlds tomorrow( doing a few touristy things first) and all this talk on body shells and particularly batteries is a big worry. Now body shells are soughted out that is good, even though the result seems stupid.
But the batteries, I just about have night mares over. The way it is at the moment I know I won't get any where as good a GP3300 cells as any of any teams drivers. Having 30-60 seconds run time left at the end of a race with 7 turn motors (as mentioned by AdrianM) is just a joke. I have no run time left with 9 turn motors.
No imagine what it will be like if 3600 were let in and there was no way I could get hold of them and even if I could there goes another $300.00 or so.

I have been watching this with interest for the whole time.
I have my own opinions, as I am sure everyone else does too. Everyone wants to blame someone else, everyone wants to make sure that the rules are OK (not meant to imply anything), but guys, face it, in three weeks you will all be there, everyone will be watching to find out, quite simply, who the best driver is in the world. I doubt there has been any R/C event so far that is going to be seen on the Web by this many people.
I do feel the lead up to this event may be remembered for not neccessarily the right reasons. The rules arn't going to change now.
I wanna say GOOD LUCK to everyone (especially all the drivers from the UK) in both 1:10th and 1:12th, and to the organisers - I hope all the pre-race fuss will be forgotten and the race will be run smoothly.
Maybe now we can start discussing the important things - such as who's going to win.
Obviously its going to be the Brits
