Okay guys, you're veering off topic.

A couple of years ago, chassis 0001 was spotted in the hands of Taka Aoki at the Tamiya America track:

Chassis 0001

Chassis 0001 in action

Now, back to our regular scheduled program...

Default Info on worls required

Hello,

My name is Darren Johnston from New Zealand and I will racing in the main event in October.
I am looking to make bookings for flights, hotels etc and am wanting more information on the worlds.
Is there an information pack coming out soon?
Will there be an event hotel where all the racers are staying and will there be some kind of preferential rate for the racers?
Will there be transport to and from the track and hotels for the racers. This has been the norm in the two previous Worlds that I have attended?
Will the track be open in the weeks leading up to the worlds for practice. (This is a very important point as I would like to spend a week or two in florida in the leadup to the event and I need to make plans and bookings)
Can you advise of other tracks and timetables for October in the area so perhaps I can get some time and races in before the event? Or where can I find this information.
Can you also advise on how the handout tire thing will work as we have never raced with handout tires here in New Zealand.

I know this is alot to answer at this stage but please do your best.

Thankyou
Regards
Darren Johnston

mine are
1st surikarn
2nd maezumi
3rd marc reinhard
top 3 TRF drivers!
tho i dont think marc will race as he only races i8n european races."

"Muramatsu races a HPI car now so I guess you will have to change your list...lol"

Well,
Muramatsu is racing HPI, but Maezumi is still racing Tamiya

I think the top three will be the top 3 Pre-Worlds qualifirers.

Masami, Hara, Lieno...one way or another.

Anders Myrberg is on this forum. Nice...welcome.

My pick for 12scale will be.

Masami
Atsushi Hara
Josh Cyrul or Blackstock

I have a Grasshopper that was handbuilt by a 35 year old guy at my local hobby shop. He lives with his mother. He's my idol.

Well I think Masami and Hara top 3 for sure.

Marc Rheinard would do good if he shows up.

If not then Kazuo Muramatsu of TRF will be the top Tamiya Driver.

Surikarn doesn't seem to do too good in the USA.

Baker of course in there somewhere in the Amain. Maybe top 3 if he can get out of his slump.. We'll see how he does at the Reedy Race.

Spashett of course in the Amain.

Groskamp.

Burch.

Leino.

Yoshioka (if he shows).

Drescher.

And a toss up between Tosolini, Cyrul, and Myrberg for top 10.

That's my Amain list for Sedan.

yes surikarns track record in the usa hasnt been that good.
but he may just pull something out of the bag with the help of tamiya of course.
i some how dont think the european guys will go i.e reinhard, fisher etc as they mainly race european races and on carpet.
i wander if ben cosgrove will go?but he wont make top 20.
anyway good luck to everyone who is racing.
