Exclamation

Not sure if this has been asked yet or not, but here goes:

Does anyone here have any experience racing the Cirtix Stock Club Combo with a 1 cell lipo and either a booster like Novaks' or a reciever pack in a direct drive pan car? Many other 2 cell brushless esc's and motors will work with a 1 cell lipo if you add either a booster or a reciever pack.

Most pan car racing is/has gone to 1 cell, so I'm hoping someone here has some experience with this regarding the Cirtix unit.

Please help

Thank you

Just installed my spec system in my Sprint 2. Currently running 54 pinion 88 spur with a FDR of 3.97. After running around the neighborhood for few minutes, my motor temp reached 145. Is this a safe temperature with this motor.

A 1S system will be a seller for sure! Heck, I would get into 1/12 scale once the 1S system comes out.

are you saying that the current cirtix will or will not function with 1s and a booster or receiver pack?

It does not work with receiver pack (at least I tried)...but have not try booster pack...may be you can try that.

Yeah, please try either the Novak booster or the TQ Cells booster on the regular 2S version of the Stock Club and let me know if it works! I race 1S pan cars and this is very important to me as I won't buy anything till I know if it works or not.

Does Cirtix make a 21.5? Will these have too much power for a Tamiya M05 and will the motors drop right in? Thanks

Default Weird thermal-like problem? 3 different cars had the same problem

On saturday (8/14) I took part in a local club race that was ran by socal-rc.com, which is an authorized SP seller. I ran in their stock spec class and had a thermal cutoff-like problem with my car and 2 other people the same day. The weird thing is the 3 of us are all running Cyclones, and were all running 3.6 FDR. The race took place in San Diego, so the weather was not even all that hot, the motor was around 120deg while the esc was at around 110 deg. F. What could cause the cars to slow down to a crawl like it did?

Hmm..really odd.
I have been gearing mine at 3.3. Lightfoot who geared his at 3.6 caught on fire. I think this Esc likes being geared high...but that is only my observation.
