I'm excited to see "true spec" racing.

Are any clubs considering a spec final drive, or is that going to be free and open? I would imagine someone with a 5600mAh 50c pack will be able to throw more gear at a Citrix system than a guy with a 4000mAh 20c will be able to.

There is only certain things we can do to get it CLOSER to the true spec...

Spec final drive only works when you are spec only 1 chassis...like a Tamiya MINI @ TCS, they have spec gearing. But again...if you throw in a ABC mini, that spec gearing will not work.

USVTA and RCGT is a very good example...spec tires (VTA tires/X-pattern tires), spec speed control (limited timing or no timing in SEPT 2010), spec motor (Novak 21.5 or Novak 25.5 in Sept 2010)....after all these specification, ppl with different chassis, new and old one, and with different LIPO, higher C or lower C....are all very much the same.

The other way to look at this...the FAST GUY is always fast, and usually, the FAST guy will use the best possible equipment. Hardly any slow guy with the newest, or best C-rating lipo will take over the FAST guy with the 3 years old chassis and 20C lipo...the past USVTA NAT, the 5th place winner was running a TC3, along with couple 3 years old design chassis, along with couple of Tamiya TA05 (that is a 6 years old design car)...

Overall...the no timing, no programmable speed control is a good start.

Charlie told me something similar...but I thought that price is with some kinda "special agreement" involve...

Beside, I could not find them selling that combo anymore on their site. By all mean...if that is true, it is EXCELLENT to see a speedo/motor combo for less then $80 USD.

This question should go to the SP thread instead....this is the Cirtrix Club Spec speed control and motor combo for club racing thread, not the Cirtix Slotless system for 1/8th and 1/10th system.

Stock Class needs to go back to it's old ROOT where driver wins the race and not their electronics equipment. You hardly see any close racing anymore in stock class and that is what I'm misssed. Hard close bumper to bumper racing from start of the race to the end.

I bought a system for the Girl I sponsor at my track, she only gets to the track once a week and is on the arrive and drive program, the only thing she brings is a good attitude. the system has great power, no fuss, no muss, as much as I protested when my club split the stock class and as much as I hated it when roar did it, I must say, I have changed my mind. This system rocks and might actually get people to run on road again.
