How to correctly break-in a brushed motor
Just got a new 20t brushed motor and I was told to "break it in" using my ice charger before I race with it. How do I do that? Any help would be great!

1. Sell it
2. Buy a brushed motor;) I'm kidding obviously. Check the Ice's manual, that should be a good start, and then google the process, I know its on there somewhere, or even here, just try searching http://www.duratrax.com/pdf/ |

Good day!
After I turn a com, I run them on a stand with a fan with a one cell lipo for 10 min to seat the brushes. |

LOL at Smoke!!
37Racing: To break in a motor, run about 2-3 volts through it at low RPM with a motor break in function on some Chargers. They key is low RPM!! Your goal is to wear in the brushes so the contour matches that of the Comm. The more it wears in, the higher the amp draw should become. If the Rpm is too high, the brushes will bounce and wear the comm uneven. This will cause you to loose maximum RPM on the motor when done. Break in can be done in 5 minutes or up to 30 minutes.... |
HA!
To many Cinco De Mayo margaritas this afternoon |
Perfect! Thank you for all the help!
