NEW HOBBYWING STOCK SUPERCHARGED SOFTWARE
#796
Hi guys I have a question if anyone can help? I have the Hobbywing XeRun 120A V2.1 and am running the 518fw and the motor is getting very hot it is way more hotter than the same settings I run with my duo 2 and X11 (oopps all motors are 17.5T) even when I was just testing the motor when I first got it (bench testing) it was warm with just a few seconds of on power, I was running it in a TRF416WE but removed it after 2 runs and went back to my other 2 motors for fear of frying it. I have now installed it to my T3 done another bench test and it is still the same. I run on a carpet indoor track (ozite I think the material is) considered a low to medium grip, indoors on rubber tyres, does anyone have any sugestions as to my options or are these higher tempertures normal for this motor? shall I turn the settings down/turbo and timing off?
Anyway, I'm also high performance, I found a good compromise between performance and temperature, lowering parameter # 9 Boost timing value at 5 (12 °) on track small and at 6 (15 °)on the long track, lower the mechanican timing and FDR 6.4.

I've been running either the SP17.5 v2 or the EPIC 17.5 Duo1. They've both been very competitive over a 6min run on a med/large track with both open and tight turns and straights, temp 60c (140f). On a small tight course running 4min they are on par and run ice cold at 40c (105f).
There is a sweet spot for all motors that would be easier to find if we knew the mechanical timing of the each motor.

New
Hi guys,
I am new to this hobby and have just bought a XERUN 120A ver2.1 ESC with 518 s/w with Team Powers 17.5 motor to be used in a F104Pro. I have gone through pages of this thread but could not seem to find any recommended settings for similar setup. Could somebody please help share your settings. Any recommendations would also be much appreciated. Thank you.

Tested Xerun 60A with Team Powers 13.5T on a Tamiya M05Pro.
Played a little with the boost functions, the car was too fast running max settings. I had half worn foams on it, and 10 laps later they where to worn almost to the rim. Strange thing is that i did not notice any drop in speed like we do running Ezrun 13T. Was good fun to test. I ended up with mild settings.
Anyhow, this setup is too fast for M-Chassi racing. I will use mine in a Tamiya FF03Pro. Anyone got a start setup? Track is technical curcuit with on straight about 20 meters. Will try to go pretty mild at first then add later and measure temp on motor alot.

I have found that with the rollout you are using to give the best performance and feeling.. I now only use between 5 and 5.5 depending on the track.. but set both timing settings to max.. total timing 29 degrees.. DDRS 7 or 8 and punch 400rpm (-2).. did allot of testing on the weekend and this is the best settings I have found with the motors u are using.. start rpm I move up and down from 3k to 5k depending on heat and track..
I know everyone is different and different motor combos.. but I just cant use FDR's for 17.5 over 6.4 .. the power seems very laggy and even then top speed is not that good.. not saying it doesn't work as there are so many variables.. i just cant get the best from this esc if my fdr is not in the low 5 area..
Cheers

Please help
Hey guys,
Bought the new Hobbywing 120A with the 2 in 1 program card but am having trouble trying to set up the stock software and programing it on my car.
I've selected the stock software via the USB link and pressed apply. But then when I go to program the speedie using the program card, I don't have access items 12-15 for the turbo timing, delay, punch timing etc.
Can someone please give me the dummies guide to figuring this out?
Michael

Needing a little more assistance. I have upgraded the 2 in 1 program box, selected stock for speedie and applied these settings. Can I access the turbo settings 12-15 via the 2 in 1 program box at all because I can't seem to get past option 10.
