75 mph
Sorry about pic, it was at night and the flash was making it too bright, so I had to try to cover the flash. The speed is the best run I had.

I got 82 mph with a freshly charged battery pack. Also, on the speed meter, it says that the battery voltage is 5.6 volts, shouldn't it be 7.2? Please explain. Maybe some of my cells are bad.
I'll post new pics of the car with the speed meter.

That's what I was thinking, since it's 1.4 volts per cell when charging, It was just sitting there when I looked at it, it was the same with a fully charged and almost drained battery pack.

Is there a way of testing the cells/battery pack to see if they're all good?

Seeing if my sig got smaller, didn't work. Got it working, it's smaller, and a different color.

The only real way to test for weak or dead cells is to use a load test. draw a constant current from the pack and measure each cell's voltage indiviually and see if there are any with much lower voltage than the rest. a really dead cell will have very little voltage or no voltage when there isn't a load.

That is the hard part, what to use as a load. 1157 tail light bulbs make a descent discharger. 10 of them in parallel is roughly 20 amps. 5 in parallel would be about 10 amps ...... etc. Do you have a charger with a discharge? If so you could use that even if it is only a couple of amps. I am not sure on the current rating of the cells you use. For normal sub-c's I would use 20 amps as a good test.

you should enter your car in that all out speed competition in califonia that r.c.c.a. is having.

just a coment fromn a factory team driver from Venom,... you are way off bro,....your cells wont allow you to go 80+ mph. only lio poly will, with a brushless for that matter....plus you have the magnet rotatin on the axel. needs to be placed on the drive spool/diff. your getting a fauls reading due to the tire spin,...even when you think you have FULL traction you DONT!!!! recalibrate and move the magnets,... Continued: You enter it in the speed meter when setting it up. The magnet makes as many rotations as the wheels

Yes, you enter in the lengths of when the magnet does one full rotation, and the magnet is conected to the drive shaft.
Did want to get all of it, but can you explain to us all how come you car can post 80+ and other micros of the same group can't achieve this speed without going lithium ion on the batteries and using brushless motors.
just curious...........
