i spend all this time setting up my car evenly and getting everything ballanced, the camber is all perfect.

then you spin a wheel and its bent. these things are one of the main things that change the way your car will handle. i have tried using stiff wheels but they tend to crack instead of bending, now if i have lots of money to spend on new wheels every race i would probably do that, but i dont, so what should i do!!!

any recomendations on wheels that are more elastic and when bent, go back to there origional shape????

I like Speedmind discs and Hudy Starburst discs, have been running 'em for probably 2 seasons now, one set of Speedminds with Sorex 32's did not bend at all even after about 5 races.
Probably the same with Hudy rims

i find tamiya rims to be the worst for bending and cracking,
the schumacher rims i find are the best, only $12AUD for 4!
they have extra strengthing inside the rim which works well.

Hmmm. Out of 4, 3 of my schui rims was broken. No surprise, the car handled strange... They is by far the most cracking I've got during 4 years.

My biggest problem with tires and wheels, is to glue the tires, so they are round

Like nearly all breakages,bending etc.

The first thing to try to stop it happening is to stop hitting the side's so often !!

The only Tamiya rim I would use is the 0-offset 5 spoke standard. The rest seem to warp or break easy.

I have had good luck with Yokomos.

0-offset rims seem stay in better shape than the ones with an offset. Then again all it takes is 1 hard hit or hack from somebody and usually a rim goes bad.

yeah i can certainly see not hitting the side helping, but everyone does it, take for example the roar carpet nationals that rctech covered. there was alot of hitting sides there.

i have a set of schumacher rims and they are rock solid but i cant use them on wooden floor because they have that inch up thing that is supposed to stop the tyres coming off the rim but they also stop the tyre wall working properly, equaling no grip.

Rims are cheap, just boil off the tires and mount them on new rims.

Well, but its a pain, mounting tires is worse than rebuilding shocks or diffs. I have bent many rims, throws your camber off like heck. The best ones for not bending I would think is Yokomo Precisons, but they crack.

Yokomo rims are the best..
