Default Should I 'Seal' The Edges Of An FRP Chassis?

I know about sealing the edges of a carbon chassis to prevent it from splitting and in the UK at least, getting moisture into it.

Should I bother doing the same to an FRP chassis or will it be a waste of time?

It isn't needed on FRP...but makes it look a lot better

Does anyone have the link to the CRC method of sealing chassis? Cant seem to find it
