TC5 Belts
I've been stripping my front belt on my TC5R for a while now ( the pinions are what's stripping it), and I've been looking at solutions to stopping this.
I'm considering changing the positions of the belt so that the front is now further away from the pinion, and although this should be a minor change, I don't want to do it if it may cause a major problem, so I'm wondering has anyone else experienced this, and what did you try. I've got till tomorrow to change it before racing at Bedworth on Sunday. I need to change the belt anyway as it's frayed, and the spur needs dropping a tooth too. |

Well I'm running a fixed diff in the front. Think the pinion was just too far out at times, and then other times has slipped out of place and caused the damage. The car still runs, but obviously would run better without a damaged belt.

Pinion poppin
You can cheat the pinion over towards the motor before you lock it down. Unless you are running mod, you can get away with running the pinion hanging over the edge of the spur by a mm or two.
