Default new to 1/10th scale rc

hi guys... I am new to rc. bought a 1/10th scale rc. I am having this problem. when I on my transmitter and reciever. even though I am not touching my transmitter. the car will move by itself sometimes. Is this a common problem and wat can I do to stop this from happening ?

What radio are you using? Maybe its glitching. Or the throttle is not calibrated to your esc.

It would really help if you gave us as much info about your car as possible.

What kind of speed controller are you using, brand and model.
What reciever and transmitter are you using, brand.
