Keven Hebert won 17.5 Open Touring, Haynes 2nd, I think Martin Crisp 3rd.
Larry and I blew out.
Tom Firsching won 13.5 SS 12th scale.
I gotta congratulate Mike Haynes once again. Being there to see what happened and the pressure he had, it was awesome. Then again, who knows if his heart skipped a beat once he realized he was in the lead. Paulie and Keven were fighting it out for the lead when lapped traffic played a major role in their battle. When the smoke cleared, Haynes was out front for the better part of 4 minutes and had to hold off Keven. Great driving man. You earned it. Now we'll get some open mod action at Horsham going very very soon. We just gotta make sure FJ doesn't try to get in on the action. Cuffs will go from bruised shins to broken legs.
To Ian and the Champs crew, you guys worked your butts off and so did Chicky. All those unexpected unlikely computer issues threw a huge curveball, but a successful race happened and it was really fun. Now I just gotta get my talent back.

That would be correct. The funniest thing is hot laps in 17.5 open were only about 2-3 tenths off of full mod. Amazing how fast the spec classes are anymore. At SnowBirds, I was only a tenth off hot lap in mod with a 13.5.
Haynes won Mod TC using a Tekin RS Pro and a Speed Passion V3 7.5 turn. He was using the boost and turbo to make up for the deficit of torque and top speed from the guys running 5.5s and lower. I really do think Haynes had the fastest mod car in a straight line.
