Well just a update that setup is no good for a track that has newer clean carpet and med to high traction . I chased a setup all-day yesterday with no success. But I'm sure its not to far ofwf. I ended up raising the role center and shooting the camber links, also flipped the front arms and used#2 holeThink if I was to go with a thicker oil it would been on point.

hay has anyone notices that the evo chassis has a "belly" from front to rear startin fron the back of the top deck and is about 2mm out/down when measured at the rear of chassis?
i have loosened and re tightened the screws in the chassis and top/ rear decks time and time again and every time i pull the car off the track its back to the same way. it hasnt made the car drive any different unless chassis drags and remidy or experience of this issue love the car tho

Hi,

check once the motor plate. Release times only the screw from the motor plate and see if the chassis is still bent.

I have found this as well, I only get it if I tap something pretty good.
Try turning the rear top deck mount the steel one 180deg and re-installing it.
With manufacturing tolerances it could be off. I would also try a new/different top deck if possible. Also make sure that the carbon spur gear support doesn't hang below the motor mount. We have also taken to simply putting the car over your knee and tweeking it back, with your knee roughly near the motor. ( I don't like this method, it has been successful ).

Best regards,
James

Your absolutely correct the “bowing” front to rear doesn’t effect the tweek at all, it does effect is the belt tension and makes it easier for it to come off.
Also it can affect the droop and ride height settings giving an erratic handling car. Most of us ck the droop and camber fairly often so the wheels are off it easy to ck or
I just ck my belt tension if it feels a little loose I know that it’s more then likely a little bowed.

Best Regards,
James

We have four guys at the local track running the car and these things have taken care of 95% of the problem, hope that helps.

Hi toptek, first i would like to thank you for your reply on the tekin topic, about the cefx that i'm testing for a month on a large asphalt track here in Rome with medium grip(solaris medium rubber tires) i can say that the improvement over a standard photon is my lap time improved by .5 sec. technically speaking i cannot explain for my poor english, anyway the car is more easy to drive even in low temp. and low grip conditions of the track and is very sensitive in every minimun regulations, the first time i drove the cefx i said "guys this is driving".
thanks to cefx engineering, i'm satisfied with the car, good job.

Hope this helps.
