I found the mistake on the setup sheet that you mentioned and fixed it. I saw my car with Timmy driving and wow, the corner speed was awesome!

Again, the attached image containing setup information a few post ago has been updated with a fix.

I know that I'm a 1000 posts late to the party on the FF03. But after watching some intense racing this weekend at TCS, this will be the car that brings me back into on-road!

So, what TCS class do you guys run the FF03 in? What motor as well?

Try it with the stock turnbuckles. If you feel that there isn't enough thread in the ball cups, go one size longer.

I hope this class will be a ticket to japan next TCS season, now that would wind up the front wheel drive community!

Got to race the car with the newly installed Steel diff and universals, and had no diff failures during the meeting.
There was only the 2 of us booked in for the 17.5 Sport class so we got added to the 25 in the faster 13.5 class, I managed to qualify 21st and won the C final a lap up on the rest, although getting it off the line against those 4wd 13.5 runners was a bit iffy.
I may just have to try it with a 13.5 motor and straight line speed was my only draw back (was running the 15t HPI Firebolt motor, which is slower than a 17.5). May also have to try a proper race shell on it?

Thanks Izzy. I'm currently sitting in the airport waiting for my flight and having a cocktail. Huge thanks goes out to the entire Tamiya racing friends and family for the tremendous effort put forth to provide an awesome experience. Also thanks to setup collaboration with Don and Lee as well as motor cleaning by Brandon (his motors are MISSLES). These FF03s are a blast!

The class name is GT4 and they were run with the standard Johnson "silver can" motors. (Actually the biggest class turn out!)

I got a chance to watch these cars at the TCS race and I was AMAZED at how well they handled!! I didn't realize they were front wheel drive until I looked at the cars in the pits!! They were THAT GOOD!!! This would be a GREAT entry level race car for the beginners---put a 21.5 brushless motor in with NO TIMING speed control--and the car would be very fun without dealing with "brushed" silver can motors!!
They were the class of the racing field at TCS!! Fun to watch!!

Hey guys, I was so impressed watching the TCS race especially the GT4 class. I am now going to buy one but, my question is which one? The pro or Civic?? I already have aset of TRF shocks. Apart from the motor plate and turnbuckles it's the same right?
