Hi all,
I have the non-pro ff03. I want softer springs to replace the stock silver ones. Can somebody tell me how hard the stock silver ones are compared to other brands?
Thanks

Hi All.
I recently installed the solid axle from 3 Racing and it is awesome!! Just one problem, the cups that hold the dog bones are noticibly shorter that the stock diff. Thus the dog bones fall out of the cup, causing damage.
My question, does tamiya make a 52mm (or there abouts) dog bone/drive shaft? I'm looking around, but the longer dog bones have bigger 'balls' on the end compared to the stock items and don't fit.
Cheers guys - I look forward to your help!

Tammy does 42,44,46 and 48mm bones
The 52 your referring to are xray, and i believe are measured differently.

Thanks for your reply Besercoe.
I currently use the 47mm dog bones that came in the kit (FF03 Pro) which are the same as the ones used in the TA05.
I'm not too fussed about which brand I use - I just want this car to go
I've had it since august and have only put half a battery pack through it - had issue after issue - It's a great kit, just having bad luck

I know they are 2mm longer than the 44mm you suggested, but I'm hoping that will be fine as I currently have about 2mm worth of packing at either end of the dogbone at the moment ... worse case, my TA05 gets a pair of uni's

Why in the manual they say to put 3/32 balls in the diff and when you look at the hop-ups they sell you 3mm balls?????
So I know that I will use black gears, ceramic balls, trf201 trust bearings with ceramic balls and alu outdrives.
I just need to know the size of the diff balls, and do 417 diff plates fit the FF03 diff?
Best regards

This car uses 3/32" balls, a tiny bit smaller then 2,4mm. I'm not certain about the diff plates. I use the 3racing diff halves and they use d shaped diff plates. The balls run very close towards the outer edge.

Anyone about the diff plates?
