If using the plastic ones, throw them away and install the alloy units ASAP. If using on the original FF03/FF03 Pro, the STEEL TRF 201 diff outdrives also fit.

Skip the contact cement and go straight for light-duty metal epoxy for the diff-rings for either the steel or alloy versions. If you want to re-use the outdrives when the diff-rings get grooved, you can use Loctite cylindrical retaining compound, #638. A little heat (small torch) will need to be used to separate the parts when replacing.

Default If anybody's interested...

...I'm selling my FF03 and just concentrating on Mini. Used it for one practice day and a TCS event, so very little time on it, comes with a bunch of spares. Started as a Pro, so it's got all of that stuff & then added CVD's, alloy spur holder, a couple other things that were performance (not bling) oriented. Seems to me I paid around $200 for the kit and then another $200 in spares and upgrades.

At work now so no pics immediately available, but if interested shoot me an e-mail at [email protected] and we'll work it out. Cash deal, no trades, comes TCS legal with Alfa body, TCS tire/wheel set, servo, spares, manual, box. No ESC, motor or battery. I'm thinking $200-ish.

It looks better in person, and boy does it ever go fast and handle well. It was awesome at the last TCS event.

hi guys - just got my hands on a FF03 pro, it needs a lot of work (was unbuilt and missing a TON of parts)

so, while its in pieces, i figure I might as well look at what's on the FF03r and incorporate into this build

anyone know where I can find a copy of the FF03R manual?

I wanted to build a FF 03 with a graphite chassis. I've seen the aftermarket chassis by 3racing, and Yeah Racing, and wasn't very impressed is there any other options that I'm not aware of?

Thanks in advance.

If it's just for bashing then it would be a better choice to buy the standard version instead of the PRO or the R version.
The standard version comes with motor, tires and body.
A lot more intresting then the pro or the new R version, if you would go racing then it would be the better choice to buy the R version.
Although the PRO version isn't bad either.

For bashing is a brushless combo the best choice, they are cheap and very reliable.

Thanks

Tamiya still showing in out of stock.....at least it is now listed

Tower shows order still pending.

My local Tamiya agent says they have the gear case on order for their next shipment to hopefully arrive mid September....

It should just be a matter of time now and Tamiya will show it on their site
