Thanks for the input Cementsurfer... I remember oh, so long ago when the Tungsten was the ONLY way to go especially in the experimental days running loose or dodgy diffs...

With regard to the rotating mass issue, I don't have the skills or ability to tell either way (unlike some drivers out there who can tell that their acceleration has been retarded somewhat by adding some foam body protectors! ) and add to this I'm eagerly awaiting the geared diff which will add significantly to the rotating mass issue (but on front wheel drive do we want the front to light up under heavy acceleration?)

Thanks again for the advice

My answer to that is 'no', but there may be some mileage in it. That said, my son runs his Pro as kit standard & I run mine with the 3Racing rear carbon accessories & there is absolutely nothing in it apart from the slightly lively rear end at the start until the tyres warm up (I think I got suckered into buying these accessories for nothing!).

I do put the same springs all round & that works well for me as I feel that softer rear just 'washes' out (perhaps I'm too hard on the wheel through the bends- but it works for me )

Well, I got the car yesterday and got everything set up, and was too impatient to Loctite the setscrew onto the pinion. Needless to see, after about two minutes of driving, the setscrew came out and chewed up the spur and pinion...

I'm hoping to get the car back up and running so I can take it to NorCal hobbies this weekend.

I think my RC's hate me because the same think happened to my V
Blitz a few weeks ago.

Man, I was hoping someone else would post a link to setups cuz I couldn't get the Tamiyausa.com one to copy.

I went back and got this from Rodzilla's earlier post. It is pretty much what I run and it is as good as I have tried, everywhere.
I didn't even go as far as all the alum. outdrives, pivot supports or even the cvds and my car goes pretty friggin good.
Start here and you'll be good to go.

Thanks Steve, I saw that after I was here. Next TCS race people will have no excuse not to be legal.

If a Clio body is on an 4WD TC , is the only problem going to be that the rear wheel arches are going to be cut differently ?

Also , I'd like some pics of your Clio's
