I remember that was the key with all the front drives, that diff has to be butter. Does Tamiya have a hop-up idler? I want to keep it TCS legal. (reason for buying the car in the first place) Thanks!

Which in your collective opinion is best for the diff balls? Ceramics or Tungsten Carbide

Use the steel ones you can get on eBay. I think it was $12 for 100 balls. Build it right and you won't need too many of them. Save your money and buy things that matter more, like tires.

Thanks for the quick assistance Sportpak, but I 'shotgunned' & bought both types

, so I'm spoilt for choice & I want to know which should go in my 'main' diff (until the R-Spec geared diff comes along

I would say Ceramic, lighter weight means less rotational mass. But to tell you the truth I would close my eyes and pick a bag.

I remember for the longest time, Tungstens were the ONLY way to go, but these Ceramics are so light and are just as smooth. I'd say every little bit helps in an already tight class.
