this makes me feel good inside.
sure, it can be picked apart, but this is as close to a 'win' as we're going to get.
novice class? check. (and it's just been made simpler).
competitive spec class? check. (have at it motor/esc lovers).
open class? check. (drop it in, and man up on your wheel).in time, the particulars may need to change, but the general layout is solid. two spec classes, separated by speed and complexity, and an open class for the men.
again, it may not be perfect for YOU, but it's a sensible move on ROAR's part. kudos. (maybe we've turned the corner ....)

Definitely a move in the right direction, tweaking perhaps but a much better direction than Carpet Nats.
I like the idea of a spec level where I can run against the likes of the pompous (so I've heard ) L. Fairtrace, with out needing a large parts supply on hand Wish I had more vacation time this year
Be curious to see (although I don't plan to run it) what the sportsman class ESC list looks like.

You are allowed to run 17.5x and open at this event from what I know.
