I got rid of some of the slop in the steering mechanism by doing the 'plastic bag trick' for all of the ball cups (you put a plastic bag onto the ball end and pop the ball cup over it; it cuts out a small circle of plastic which helps take out the free play). This didn't cure the up and down movement of the arms on the steering posts; for that you'd need some 4x6x0.1mm shims I think - I haven't got a clue of anywhere that might sell them though.

Setup ?
Hi All
My kit is in Australia & will be here soon
The Question is what is a good place to start with setup for mod 4.5T , should i just start with kit setup & work from there ?
Thanks
Stephen

Depends what surface your running on and with what tires,
generally I'd start with the kit set up, maybe pinks instead of golds, that's about all I'd change for the initial run

I run on asphalt - rubber tyres - low to med grip - tracks are a mix of open & tech.
Thanks

How many tooth spur gear does the kit come with?

No, the servo doesn't have to be low profile. In fact I have a Ko Propo PDS 2367 ICS in at the moment and still have plenty of room for my electronics, but that's only because the Ko Propo KR-302f and Tekin RS Pro are really small. It would get quite tight if I was trying to fit in a GM or Speedpassion ESC in there. The advantages of a low profile servo include more space and lighter weight.
